I passed the interview. However, they never answered any of my massages. Also, I heard that they are not paying, lots of people that I know stopped working there.

I have read on other sites that the owner is a con man and pretends to be the IT department. After going through a long application process I asked him a simple question. He never answered and then disappeared! After all that! It makes sense that he doesn’t pay people if he’s going to be that erratic.

Hi, it would be great if can share their email with us.
r t says
Last two emails I used to contact him with is: hello@yiyienglish.org and sean.lim@yiyienglish.org. Both are interchangeable as to when he’s answering as himself or when he’s pretending to be the IT department. Depends on his mood I guess.

Thank you!

I worked for them for just over a year. I heard many stories like the ones above and many others. It got way too ridiculous. Waiting more than usual to get paid, getting incorrect payments, disputes taking months to correct. And very little support for teachers. I am still waiting (2 months now) for my last pay check. Don’t waste your time.

I have an interesting story to tell. I applied through their website and successfully passed the initial screening, so I just needed to study the material and do a mock-class. So, I went through the simplest article saying “TPR, smile, blah blah blah” as in many other companies, and the final stage was to submit a video “showing the skills you have learned”. OK, not a problem! But I couldn’t submit my video, because “Error: you need to update your account”. Huh? Alright, maybe it’s not crucial. I emailed the company, pointing out this problem. They look reputable and interesting, they will help me with solving this problem. And… I got the message from Google, claiming that this email doesn’t exist. What? Then, after this, I decided to contact the other email I found, complaining I couldn’t submit my video and I got a reply, saying “no worries, just prepare for your interview”, woohoo! The interview was scheduled in 2 weeks from that date, I fully prepared for it and I was looking forward to meeting these people. And no one appeared in Zoom. I waited for 40 mins. Hmmm… Maybe, it happens? The company is big, they might simply forget about me? So I contacted the same man, saying that no one had arrived and could we reschedule the interview for another day? No reply, but I got a message from another email with a link to Calendy to do so. Well, I booked another interview date in 2 weeks. Finally, I met the girl from that company. The only thing she said to me was “you can start”. Uh. She was completely cold, didn’t say anything, she was pretending to be a 5yo girl, who had some mental health problems obviously. It was the most inappropriate interview I have ever done. And, of course, I haven’t got any feedback, only the email saying “we have too many teachers, but maybe we’ll consider you”.
Lovely company, a lovely experience, lovely staff. 10/5

I am utterly appalled by the organization and communication within YiYiEngilsh. They didn’t even show up 2 times for a meeting that I needed to have which they organized themselves with me. It has been a terrible and stressful experience for me trying to work with YiYiEngilsh which has not been worth it at all. I had been training with yiyienglish for almost 2 months and was paid almost nothing and with no guarantee of regular classes at all and I still has more training to do. DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. I am speaking from someone has tried to give them all of my patience and kindness and received none back in return. I’m only writing this to save the pain for other teachers. This company should not be allowed to work like this.
Tom Greem says
There are certain pros, but they don’t really matter when you don’t get your payment!
They paid me only half of my salary! No explanations, no responds! They didn’t reply to any of my messages! Crooks!
Aleksandra Dimov says
That Sean guy is the whole company actually. I was hirred, and then he never answered any of my messages.
